| On November 27th, 2011 the English speaking (Introduction)countries of the world will implement a new translation of the Roman Missal
(Roman Missal, 3rd Edition). As directed by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
(www.usccb.org/romanmissal), every Diocese and
every Parish in the United States is responsible for preparing their respective assemblies for the upcoming changes to this sacred celebration of the liturgy.
This will involve a major catechesis of the entire congregation. Our goal will be to involve everyone in the parish...a lofty goal but one that we must aim for. The translation of the Roman Missal/3rd Edition (RM3) is an opportunity to re-discover what our celebration of the Mass truly means; to us as individuals and collectively as Gods people. Father Vidal has asked that we form a Roman Missal Liturgy Team to coordinate the RM3 implementation and transition effort at St. Mary parish. We pray that you will join with us to make this transition a success. Thank you and God Bless, David DeTorres St. Mary / New Roman Missal Coordinator 801-698-5879 utdetorres@hotmail.com |
